In her previous life she was a journalist, farm hand, traveller, bar tender and pharmacy assistant, and her wealth of life experience influences her knowledge and skills as an editor.

She relishes all things publishing, and finds interaction with all people in the industry dynamic and rewarding. She loves seeing a project come to fruition, on time and on budget.

“Julie has edited a text book of mine as well as other educational products that I have produced or have in development. I have found her to not only be very flexible and attuned to the audience and their needs, but to provide feedback and suggestions beyond the brief. Julie has always been quick to respond and managed her projects to work within the time frame that best suited my needs as well as the scope of the task. I would highly recommend Julie Wicks Publishing services for your professional editing needs!”

“We’ve worked with Julie Wicks on over a dozen titles to date, including commercial fiction and complex and illustrated non-fiction, and find her to be an exemplary proofreader with some great technical skills that have been most useful for some of the more tricky jobs we’ve had her work on. Highly recommended, efficient and eagle-eyed.”
